Murat Gassiev knocked out Kubrat Pulev in the 6th round in Dubai to win a version of the WBA world heavyweight title (whatever that means). Pulev with his classic Eastern European style still kept his hands far out, not ready to catch shots around the guard. This was the same shot Wlaidimir Klitschko knocked him out with back in 2014. Jai Opetaia defended his IBF world cruiserweight title by brutally knocking out Huseyin Cinkara in the 8th round. In my opinion Opetaia tried a bit too hard at times in the fight, and Cinkara was able to land a few of his own. Despite this the result was just a matter of time with Opetaia's consistent pressure and power. Cinkara was not a bad boxer, but this fight shows that to be ranked number one in a federation, it's all about navigating the career of a fighter.
